Recognising the nation's top apprenticeship employers in 2024
Register now to be notified when entries open for next year’s 2025 rankings.
The new Top 100 Apprenticeship Employers and Top 50 SME Apprenticeship Employers for 2024 were launched during a special live broadcast on Thursday 25th July.
The rankings celebrate England’s outstanding apprenticeship employers, recognising their commitment to creating new apprenticeships, the diversity of their apprentices, and the number of apprentices who successfully achieve their apprenticeships.
First compiled in 2020, the prestigious annual employer rankings have been developed by the Department of Education, in partnership with High Fliers Research, who independently assess and rank the nation’s top apprenticeship employers.
Over the past three years, more than 1,500 apprenticeship employers from a wide range of industries and business sectors have entered for the rankings.
The Top 100 Apprenticeship Employers and Top 50 SME Apprenticeship Employers showcase the apprenticeship employers that have done the most to provide apprenticeship opportunities over the past 12 months.
Entries for the 2024 rankings opened on Tuesday 6th February and closed on Friday 12th April.
Because of the General Election, the new rankings were announced a little later than planned, during a special TV programme on Thursday 25th July. Apprenticeship employers featured in the 2024 rankings attended a celebration lunch at the House of Commons in September.
Together, the Top 100 Apprenticeship Employers and Top 50 SME Apprenticeship Employers reveal which employers – large and small – are this year’s most successful apprenticeship employers.
We are grateful to Investors in People, BPP and The Careers & Enterprise Company for their support for the launch of this year’s rankings.
